1) Adaptation, accommodations, and modifications can sometimes be confusing terms. Distinguish between these terms. and clarify the meaning of each through discussion and generation of examples.
2) Review and discuss NAEYC’s Developmentally Appropriate Practice Guidelines and DEC’s Recommended Practice Guidelines. Why are these guidelines important in developing an effective inclusive preschool program?
3) Discuss what makes activities and materials in an early childhood program developmentally appropriate. If an item is not appropriate, why why is it not appropriate? Is there anything than can be done to  make it appropriate?
